👋 Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how BPSOFT ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our iOS applications (the "App").
The data controller is BPSOFT (Péter János Barna, sole proprietor, Hungary). You can reach us at info@bpsoft2025.hu.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.
📋 Information We Collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the App:
- Purchase information — When you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. We never see or handle your payment details. RevenueCat may also process technical information such as your app version, device and operating-system type, and IP address in order to deliver its service.
- Anonymous purchase identifier — RevenueCat assigns an anonymous App User ID so your purchase can be restored across your devices.
- Data stored on your device — Your files, setlists, annotations, presets, history and settings are stored locally on your device only. They are never uploaded to us.
- Online game data — In games with online play, the room code and the moves of the current game are exchanged through Google Firebase for as long as the game room exists (see "Features Used by Some Apps" below).
- Messages you send us — If you email us, we process your email address and message only to reply to you.
🍎 App Store Privacy Labels
In line with Apple's App Privacy requirements, here is what our Apps declare:
- Data used to track you — None. We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
- Data linked to you — Purchase history and an app-specific anonymous user identifier, used only for app functionality (delivering and restoring your purchases). They are not used for tracking or advertising.
- Data not linked to you — None in most apps. Games with online play list the gameplay data they exchange in their own App Privacy details.
The App does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and therefore does not present the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
📁 Files, Storage and Websites
Apps that work with files (for example sheet-music and lyrics readers) access only the files and folders that you select yourself. These files stay on your device; we cannot see them, and the App does not upload them.
If an app loads data from the internet (for example schedules or results), the server that provides that data can see your IP address, as with any internet connection.
Some apps include an in-app browser for visiting websites that you choose (for example to import a song text). Those websites are operated by third parties and have their own privacy practices. We do not track your browsing. A short history of the addresses you open may be kept locally on your device, and you can clear it in the App.
🧩 Features Used by Some Apps
Camera. Some apps ask for permission to use the camera, for example to scan a QR code (to share a game position with another player). The camera image is processed on your device in real time to read the code; it is not recorded, stored or sent anywhere. The permission is requested only when you use the feature, and you can withdraw it at any time in your device settings.
Online games (Google Firebase). Some games let two players play against each other online. For this they use Google Firebase (a real-time database), which creates a temporary game room that both players join. The room holds only what is needed to play: a room code and the moves of the game (and a nickname, if the game lets you enter one). No account or sign-in is required, and we do not use the room data for any other purpose. The room and its data are deleted when a player leaves it. If a game ends abnormally (for example, the app is closed or the connection is lost), the data may remain on the server for a while. As with any internet connection, Firebase and Google also receive technical connection data such as your IP address. See Firebase Privacy Information →.
🔧 Third-Party Services
Our Apps use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:
- Apple In-App Purchase — Processes all purchases and subscriptions. Apple Privacy Policy →
- RevenueCat — Manages purchase entitlements. RevenueCat Privacy Policy →
- Google Firebase — Provides the temporary game rooms in games with online play. Firebase Privacy Information →
We do not use analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services that identify you.
🎯 How We Use Information
We use the collected information solely to:
- Verify and restore your purchases across your devices
- Provide the core functionality of the App
- Answer your messages
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties for marketing purposes.
📘 Legal Bases
Under the GDPR we process data on these legal bases:
- Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to process and restore your purchases, to provide the features you have paid for, and to run the online game rooms you choose to join.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to keep the App working and secure, to prevent misuse, and to answer your messages.
🗄️ Retention and International Transfers
Data on your device stays there until you delete it or uninstall the App. Purchase and entitlement records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal obligations. Messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to answer you. Online game rooms and their data are deleted when a player leaves the room.
Apple, RevenueCat and Google (Firebase) may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards as described in their privacy policies.
👶 Children's Privacy
Our Apps are suitable for a general audience. The App contains no advertising and no third-party tracking. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age set by the law of your country). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
🔒 Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Purchase and entitlement data is stored securely by RevenueCat using industry-standard encryption. Your files and settings remain on your device. We do not operate servers that store user data.
⚖️ Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:
- Right of access — Request a copy of your data
- Right to rectification — Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — Request deletion of your data
- Right to restriction — Ask us to limit how we use your data
- Right to object — Object to processing of your data
- Right to portability — Receive your data in a portable format
- Right to withdraw consent — Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days. Most of the data connected to your purchases is held by Google, Apple or RevenueCat; where needed we will pass your request on to them. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH), Hungary, or the authority in your own country.
We do not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes.
🔄 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
